The Adventures of Flat Anna

My niece, Anna, had a project at school where she and her class read the book Flat Stanley. A brief synopsis—a bulletin board falls on a boy name Stanley, making him flat. He has all sorts of adventures, one of them being a trip to visit a friend via the United States Postal Service. Anna’s class then created a flat version of each of themselves, and mailed them off for adventures in another city.

We were thrilled to have Flat Anna come visit us, and were determined to show her a good time in Little Rock. Here are her adventures:

Ainsley and Flat Anna at The Old Mill. The mill was in the opening scene of the movie Gone with the Wind.

Ainsley and Flat Anna at the Big Dam Bridge. This bridge connects Little Rock and North Little Rock over the Arkansas River and is the longest bridge in the United States that was built for pedestrian traffic.
