The second annual birthday weekend with Jon’s family was in June. We celebrate everyone’s birthday together and have a special time together as a family. Granddad and Grandmama reserved the family center at the church building, and we had the run of the place for several hours.
If I remember correctly, Rachel and Anna made these decorations. Our theme was apples.

We took turns opening gifts (youngest to oldest, one gift at a time), so we could see and appreciate each one.
Ainsley peeling an apple (thanks to Rachel for providing all the fun apple props and goodies!)
Granddad got this fun Slip ‘N Slide for the kids to use. They spent at least a good hour having a water fight. Here is Asher soaking someone.
Reloading . . .

Granddad and Grandmama got the grandkids each a Lego set. The girls got one, the boys another. I made Ainsley and Asher wait until we got home to open them so we wouldn’t leave any of the pieces. We got home late Sunday night, so we put the kids right to bed. First thing Monday morning, this is what I found:
They each followed the instructions themselves, with only minor help from me. Here are the finished products. Ainsley went so far as to create an environment to go with hers and put on a play. So much fun!

Great pictures! May we get some of these? We were too busy to take some, I guess. I'll say it again...great photographs!
