It has become increasingly difficult to ignore the fact that Asher definitely needed a trim around the ears. His hair was just so cute it was hard to actually go through with cutting it. Well, on Thursday, we went and picked up his cranial molding helmet. We are gradually working up to him wearing it 23 hours a day. We are supposed to inspect his head for any severely red areas caused by the helmet, and his hair makes that a little difficult. Also, the helmet isn't breathable, so it makes his head sweat a lot. So that pushed me over in the decision-making process--he needed a haircut. Since I am one of 3 girls, I have no clue about boys' haircuts. So I turned him over to daddy. I should have known how drastic this was going to be when the clippers came out. I should have, but I didn't! He cut 2 inches of hair off! My son is almost bald!I suppose I will get used to it, but right now he looks like a totally different kid. Cute, yes, but totally different. I think that his new cut will be more comfortable for him in the helmet, so that is a good thing. All in all, much more difficult for mommy than for kiddo!

He looks so cute! I remember when we first shaved the boys hair. Quite a shocker- but it grew on me! :) Will be praying that he tolerates the helmet well. Thinking of you guys!
