Christmas morning at our house

Since we were visiting G.G. on Christmas day, we had our family Christmas a little bit early. I was more excited about Christmas this year than I have been in a long time. I could barely wait to see the kids open their presents!

Asher opening some glow-in-the-dark stars. He loves having those on his wall. He has a little routine for going to bed. We read books. If he doesn't like a book, he hops off my lap and gets the one he does want. In his bed, he wants his cup of water, his blanket, and his Pooh Bear to sleep with. He wants his stars lit up, and he says, "Stars! Stars!"

Ainsley in "the big present"--a sand box. It stayed in our living room for awhile. Then we moved it to the back yard and Jon used his Christmas present--a wheelbarrow--to put the sand in it. The kids like it. Asher throws it and pours it out of the box, so we are still working on that.

Ainsley opening the present from Grandpa & Grandma. It was much needed clothes. Now Ainsley isn't showing her tummy in her too small shirts any more!

Asher got a backhoe--it was a big hit. Backhoe is one of Asher's favorite things to say. He finds them all over the place when we are out driving around.

Asher always wants to help if we are sweeping or raking, so we got him a mini broom. He likes it, but he learned that the top end of it works really well as a crayon on our walls, so most of the time it is put away.

The aftermath . . .

Our family is very blessed, not just in material things, but with the wonderful family we have here on earth.
