Over Memorial Day weekend, I was able to find a last minute ticket to go and visit Sarah in NYC. Jon was able to rearrange his work schedule a bit and care for the kids. We got in some good sister time. I didn't realize until I arrived that the last time we had seen each other was in August! I wish I could have brought the kids to visit with her, as well, but we'll have to do that another time when it makes more sense. We took some walks, went to the
American Museum of Natural History, and even went out for Ethiopian food.
Here we are in her apartment

This picture is of the Ethiopian food we had. The picture is not very flattering--the food was very good. It is served on
injera, a crepe-like flat bread. You use pieces of bread to scoop up the food with your fingers. Quite interesting, and a new experience for me.

After our meal, Sarah treated me to
Pinkberry.
Thanks, Sarah (and Malina & Denise) for hosting me, and thanks Jon for taking such good care of the kids (he even took them to the zoo!)
