Salmon River

One of the days we were in CT, we went down to Salmon River. The kids wore their sandals and went wading with Grandpa. Ainsley fell and got wet, but seemed strangely pleased rather than upset. ;-) Asher concentrated on throwing rocks.

All of us (except for Grandma the photographer) on the Comstock Bridge. Just ignore Asher--I don't remember what the problem was, but he got over it! :-)

We didn't see any salmon, but while we were walking and wading, Asher started pointing and saying, "Snake, snake!" That got our attention! He was pointing at something in the water. It was about 6 to 8 inches long, but tiny and a little bit flat. We think it was a leech. When we got back home to AR, Ainsley drew this picture. The very bottom is a baby leech, and the big one is the leech we saw. Ahhh, memories!
