We have acquired quite a few Halloween decorations over the years, and the kids were both involved in putting them up this year.
Ainsley put up almost all of these window clings herself.
She wanted me to take this one of her “scary” face
Asher dug into some of our old costume stuff.
Some of you may recognize these from a few years ago when Jon wore them (as Napoleon Dynamite):
Sorry, Jon, I couldn’t resist including this picture! And, yes, that is his real hair.
This is the first year in awhile that we haven’t participated in a Halloween party. We did Trunk or Treat on Thursday at one of the area congregations. They had games and a meal first.
The kids in their costumes:
Asher’s costume was given to us by another family whose child outgrew it. Ainsley’s was a gift from a nice lady on Freecycle.
On Halloween night, we stayed home and watched a Clifford Halloween movie that Grandma K gave to the kids awhile back. The kids took turns handing out candy. I don’t think Ainsley knew that Halloween normally happens door to door instead of trunk to trunk! :-)
Jon took several pictures with his phone. If you start here and click the picture of the projector screen on the middle right, it should show the Halloween photos. He has several of the inside decorations.
Here is the pumpkin Jon carved:
Ainsley picked the design. The kids both helped cut & scoop. I toasted the pumpkin seeds. Jon did the hard part—the carving.
