Doughnuts with Daddy
Tonight we did a "special thing" (as Ainsley would call it). After supper, I brought the kids to meet Jon at work and we went to Krispy Kreme Doughnuts. We had never been to there before. It is right around the corner from Jon's work, so they have doughnuts at work sometimes. It was really neat--they have a big glass window so you can see the doughnuts being made. They mix the dough, and the machine does the rest. It shapes them, lets them rise, fries them on both sides, and covers them in glaze. They handed us each a doughnut when we went in--apparently when the light in the front is on, that means they are making the doughnuts right then and you can get one for free! We bought some anyway--Ainsley picked out one with sprinkles--she shared a sprinkle with me and a sprinkle with Jon.

Aren't their donuts delicious? Ryan and I LOVE them (in moderation, of course). I don't remember Little Rock having a Krispy Kreme. It must be new (or we must have missed it somehow). Spokane has one, and it has been quite a while since we've stopped by. Hmm . . .
