I took Asher to his 15 month checkup on the 12th. He weighs 24 lbs 6 oz, and he is 31 1/2 in tall, which is 75th percentile. The doctor said he is going to be taller than his parents. I said, "Good for him!" Asher's favorite things are trains, his new sneakers, playing peek-a-boo, drinking out of a cup with a straw (as opposed to his sippy cup), and throwing various items on the tile in the kitchen to see what noise they will make (so far dog dish is the loudest and Grandma's plate was the worst idea!). He climbs up the slide on the swing set all by himself. He is very steady on his feet and he seems to be very agile. He wants to walk instead of being carried and he wants to do things himself. He likes to take baths and comes running when I start the water. He enjoys pushing any button he can find and seems to take special interest in cause/effect relationships. Fancy way of saying that he likes to do things to see what will happen!
Update on Asher's words:
GooGirl (Good girl) for the dog
Daddy--he says this one very clearly
Tickatickaticka (Tickle, tickle, tickle)
Cuh? (Cup)
Cracker
Whee (when he sends a toy down the slide)
Phew (Shoe)
Kock (Sock)
Uh, Oh
Here are the sounds he can do:
Vehicle--Brrm, brrm
Dog--Hoo, Hoo (kind of fast, not slow like an owl sound)
Train--Choo, choo or woo, woo (one of his favorites)
Bird--Tweet, tweet
Monkey (he has only done this once or twice, but I think it counts :-) )--Ooh, ooh
Duck-Kack, kack
Fish--he opens and closes his mouth making a small popping sound
