For anyone who has been to our house, you know that our yard has a steep slope to it (you can kind of see it on
my swing set post, but it really doesn't do it justice. When it rains, we have quite a river that comes down and takes the topsoil and leaves the rocks. So on the bottom corner where most of the water ends up, Jon has planted monkey grass. This seems to have really helped. We got some more monkey grass this week from our friends Shawn and Katie. This time Ainsley got to help dig and plant.

She really enjoyed herself. One funny story--I was inside finishing up dinner, when the back door opened, and Ainsley came in with her tongue out and dirt all around and in her mouth. I started cleaning her up, and asked her what happened. She said, "Ah ga dir in my mow!" (Translation: "I got dirt in my mouth!" said with her tongue still out.) Silly mommy asked the question!

where did you get the gardening gloves for Ainsley?
Jon found them at Lowe's, along with a child-size rake (not toddler-size, but it is an actual functioning rake instead of plastic.)
