More pictures of the kids . . .

Ainsley built this herself. She started with dominoes on a book, then added the cube blocks, and finished with the regular blocks. She parked all the cars around it. I think she said it was an apartment building. Needless to say, this structure was built in her room so little brother couldn't get his hands on it!

Asher wearing Ainsley's boots. I think this picture shows how he is looking older.

I set up the Thomas train set in the kitchen one afternoon. Asher absolutely loved it! He normally isn't allowed to play with these due to his propensity to throw everything. He did really well, though. I am not nearly as good as Daddy at putting the tracks together, but I did manage to make the bridge (it took me at least 3 times as long as it takes Jon) and set up three ovals so that her 3 trains could be going at the same time.
Speaking of train tracks, we have a small set of wooden Brio trains that I got at the Duck, Duck, Goose sale a few years ago. Yesterday, Asher sat down and pulled out the tracks (we have 10 pieces--8 curved, 2 straight to make an oval). He kept saying, "tracks!" He put them together end to end, making a long curvy track. He made the necessary adjustments to put the circle into the hole for each piece. I was pretty impressed by that, and I was pleased at how he took the initiative to play for that long on his own.
