More pictures, and a hodgepodge of happenings

Most of these pictures happen to be of Ainsley, but I couldn't resist this one of Asher:

Ainsley said that Asher looked like a different kid in this hat.

This is Ainsley playing with some of the activity books from Great Grandma K.

Ainsley finally got her first haircut. On one of our Mommy/Ainsley Tuesdays (when Asher is in MDO), I took her to a hair salon in the mall. Her hair was getting too difficult to comb through because of all the split ends. I told the lady I just wanted the split ends off so we could comb through it. She barely took any off at all, so if you saw her and didn't notice, don't worry! :-) It did seem to make at least a little difference when combing her hair, though.

One of the most-used gifts Ainsley has ever gotten is this car carpet. She loves to arrange her cars on it (look closely--there are cars at school, the bank, etc.). This mostly takes place in her room because of little brother.

A couple other funny things that happened recently--this is a hodge podge post, after all!
A few days ago, we were driving on the highway, and a semi truck passed us. Ainsley was watching it, and then said, "It looks like we are going backwards!" That it does, Ainsley!
Ainsley received a hopper bouncy ball for her birthday (similar to this). Sometimes we sit Asher on it and bounce him, and he says, "Bounce!!" The other day, Asher found a bouncy ball. When I told him to bounce it, he carefully set it on the floor, sat on it, and started bouncing!
One last story, although not a funny one--A couple weeks ago, Asher was playing in the kitchen. When I came around the corner, I noticed he was playing with something. I got closer and saw that it was a wasp. Right before I got there though, it stung him on his hand. I killed it, and held him. He didn't cry--just whimpered and looked at me like he couldn't believe that something would hurt him like that. He was fine shortly after. That's the second wasp that has made it in our house under mysterious circumstances.

That first haircut is always a milestone. My two have always been so squirrelly that I'm half afraid of them getting poked in the eye! (Now I do Caleb's hair with the clippers, just like Paul's!)

That car carpet looks like fun!

I'm wondering how much you were charged for a minor haircut. I'm always amazed how cheaply Ryan can get his haircut when women are charged at least twice as much. When I was in Ohio, I persuaded my mom to cut my hair, so I can have some additional time before I need to go to a salon. That's great that Ainsley loves her rug. How big is that one?

That car rug is such a good imaginative toy. We had two of those and the girls just never show interest in them. I think we got rid of one and kept the other in hopes that they might someday want to play with it.

Oops, that last comment from 'Amy' was actually from me. I am just on their computer right now. Oops!

I believe it was $10. I knew we only wanted a trim, so I didn't want one of the pricier places. She cut off so little, I questioned whether it was worth the $10! :-) It did help with the tangles, some, though.
