I follow a few coupon/money saving blogs, but the one I use the most is Money Saving Mom. I have enjoyed finding sales and matching coupons, but I am by no means in the “big leagues” of couponing. Occasionally, though, I am able to get some good deals and thought I might share.
On the blog, Money Saving Mom does posts called Super Savings Saturday where she shows a picture of what she bought and told how much she paid.
Before Thanksgiving, I hit Kroger and Walgreens on the same day (kids in school).
Here is my Kroger haul:
I paid $36.37 for the above, which includes 9 boxes of cereal, 4 lbs of cheese, 4 boxes of Annie’s macaroni, frozen veggies, 2 dozen eggs, 2 containers of OJ, and several other items. Not too bad—and kind of fun!
Here is what I picked up at Walgreens:
I spent $5.99, $3.19 of which was the sunglasses (which were also on clearance—I used them for Asher’s Christmas since his were broken). We used the sparkling grape juice for Thanksgiving.
