On Tuesday night (after doing the Pumpkin Patch in the morning), I took the kids to the annual fire carnival. Jon had softball games, so he couldn't be with us. It is always a struggle for me to take both kids and let them experience things safely, but I thought we did pretty well. We had a free supper of hot dogs, Cheetos, and cookies (I think we hit all the major food groups with that one!) They handed out balloons, coloring pages, and candy. Ainsley got her face painted, and they both got to see some emergency vehicles.
