Doctor
Asher had been running a low grade fever since Wednesday or Thursday of last week. He was (and still is) obviously teething, so I just gave him Tylenol when he needed it. On Saturday, he seemed to finally be getting past the feeling bad. His stomach seemed a little sour, but he still had his appetite. Then on Sunday, his fever went up to 103.6. We kept him home from Bible class and worship. He was very lethargic--so much so that he just laid there when I changed his diaper. I usually spend a long time wrestling with him, so this was a little alarming. The fever responded to Tylenol, but went back up each time it wore off. This morning he still had the fever, so I took him to see Dr. O'Neill. He has an ear infection in one ear, and his throat is red. Dr. O'Neill decided not to test for strep because the antibiotic that he prescribed for the ear is the same as the one for strep. If Asher isn't feeling better by tomorrow afternoon, I am supposed to call the doctor back.
