Staph infection
Ainsley has a staph infection. She had small red marks on Tuesday, but I had just taken her in on Monday to have the doctor check a rash in the same area on her skin. That rash was a yeast rash that has mostly gone away due to an anti fungal prescription. The red marks got worse Wednesday while we were travelling, and by Wednesday night they had some ooze. Yesterday morning I took her to my parent's doctor here. We are trying hard to keep everyone else from getting this, but Ainsley was in relatively close contact with everyone Wednesday night before I knew that the red bumps had heads on them. Hopefully Ainsley's infection will start drying up now that she is on medication. We have a disinfecting spray that I put on all faucets, toilet seats, and commonly used door knobs. She has band aids covering the sores. We scrub the tub when Ainsley uses it. I got anti-bacterial soap pumps for all the sinks and hand sanitizer pumps to strategically station around. We are all trying to take vitamins. Ainsley is on an oral antibiotic and a prescription anti-bacterial ointment in her nose.

Aww man... We know how that goes. Nathan had a staph infection when we arrived here in Bolivia. I think Satan was trying to throw the book at us and so in our last days in the states we were doing stool samples (on a four month, only nursing baby... you can only imagine the creativity we had to employ :) and then just the dealing with finding out the results after having left home, finding the medicines here in another language to give him... it was an adventure. I'm so sorry you guys are having to deal with staph, it's a pain (in many ways). We'll be praying that you and Jon stay staph free!
